This past weekend on 01/18/2020 - 01/19/2020 we got the opportunity to host a Roadshow at the Asian American Expo. This event has been hosted every year since 1982 to gather the community in celebration of the Lunar New Year and increase understanding among different cultural backgrounds. This was the perfect opportunity to spread our knowledge about solar to the community.
Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Filipino, Thai, etc. – all these Asian cultures are linked through the shared celebration of a new lunar calendar. Every year the event grows bigger in size and attendance. This year there were over 1,000 vendors including us! Along with 48 different entertainment groups that were scheduled to perform during the 2-day event. The performances included things such as; Chinese Acrobatics, Japanese Taiko, Thai, Korean traditional dances, cheer-leading, marching bands, drum craft, ballroom dancing, fashion runways and more. This event has an attendance of more than 160,000 people. He hosted one of the largest booths during the expo. He has real size SunPower panels and various features available to fully inform attendees of the benefits of solar. Below you can see the size of our booth.
This event helped us meet people from all over the surrounding Southern California area and even people from out of state. We also were able to see many other vendors and performers. That including cosplayers, dancers, and acrobats!
People from all over Southern California were in attendance and passed through our booth. We met and introduce many people to the amazing benefits there is to getting solar for their homes. Happy Lunar New Year!!
